Uplifting Leadership

Uplifting Leadership

Changing Lives

The Vision of the Lead With Giants Community is to raise up 10,00 Uplifting Leaders.

The Mission is to Inspire Uplifting Leadership.

I believe it’s time for a change in the way leadership is practiced today. There is enough so-called leadership that disempowers, discourages, and disappoints.  It time to be uplifted!

What is Uplifting Leadership? How is it different?

Uplifting leadership is inspirational

Uplifting leadership moves others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more.

You are a leader.

My desire is for you to understand that you are a leader. You do not need a title or a position to be a leader. From the CEO to the cubicle, from the classroom to the living room, you are a leader, because leadership is influence. You have the opportunity to influence those around you. That’s leadership.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” – John Quincy Adams

Uplifting leadership is aspirational

Uplifting leadership springs from a strong desire to lead and help others grow and become leaders too.

You can become a better leader.

You can be a better person, better spouse, better employee, better executive, better business owner, better (you fill in the blank).  HOW do we become better leaders? You can learn from those who have come before. You can learn by surrounding yourself with uplifting leaders. You can become a better leader by connecting, engaging, serving, learning, and leading. (This is a common theme in the Lead With Giants Community.)

The moment you stop learning, you stop leading. – Rick Warren

Uplifting Leadership is intentional

By design, uplifting leadership deliberately focuses on others. For, to lead is to serve; to serve is to lead.

”Good leaders must first become good servants.” – Robert Greenleaf

To lead is to serve; to serve is to lead. We lead best when we are serving others. Uplifting leaders see leadership as an opportunity to serve. There are two kinds of people in this world: takers and givers. I decided a long time ago to join the side of the givers. Great leaders are givers.

“The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between, the leader is a servant.” Max DePree

Uplifting leadership is purposeful

Uplifting leaders are determined to make a positive difference. You must never underestimate the difference you can make.

It’s not about success, which is simply achievement. It is about significance, which is about making a difference. Purposeful leadership about serving a purpose higher than self. It is about discovering your purpose and living a life of passion. It is about living a fulfilling, meaningful life.

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do. – Edward Everett Hale
