 1. Be a #LeadwithGiants Tweetchat Moderator

Ambassadors help promote the tweetchat each week across whatever Social Media platforms they use. They also help make the chat experience warm, welcoming, and engaging for the participants.  Here’s a few ideas, but Ambassadors are encouraged to come up with their own ways of helping to develop the tweetchat.

  • Share the Promo Tweet (update) each week. (It’s posted each week by Sunday afternoon)
  • Arrive early for the tweetchat and begin greeting participants. The chat is Monday’s 7:00pm Eastern Time.
  • Look for newcomers and send out a welcome tweet during the chat
  • Retweet the questions
  • Intentionally engage contributors
  • Help make the chat fun and engaging
  • You will be provided with the chat questions ahead of time. This way you can prepare some answers in advance if you like, along with selecting some images.

. 2. Be a Moderator

Moderators serve for an agreed upon term of time. 1-3 months is recommended. This allows everyone the opportunity to lead without getting burned out. You are welcome to serve more than one term. Positions are available in the Linkedin Group, the Google+ Community, and the Facebook Group.

Linkedin Moderator Responsibilities

  1. Warmly welcome new members as you see them.
  2. Comment on the posts that add value to the community. You do not have to comment on every post.
  3. In the comments, express appreciation to those who contribute.
  4. Engage others within the comments and discussions.
  5. You will have the authority to delete posts that don’t add value to the community. You may move them to the Promotions tab as well.
  6. Generally, be yourself but with greater intention.
  7. Note: You do not have to offer insincere praise, of course. It’s fine to disagree and challenge other’s comments
  8. You may search Linkedin Help for more info on the technical side regarding how you can delete discussions or comments if necessary. Postings are allowed automatically unless someone has incurred flags from members which then requires their posts be moderated.  You’ll be notified if a post needs moderated.
  9. You are not required to post discussions, but feel free to do so.
  10. Be familiar with the Community Guidelines and encourage that they be followed.
